Each Day Enjoy Beauty and Joy      
 Take a walk. Work in your garden. Sit with a friend in the park. Enjoy your favorite music. Remember there is beauty all around you.

Give of Yourself     
Give blood. Send money to a worthy cause. Volunteer.

Turn Off the NEWS     
Constant exposure to news can increase negative emotions. Instead, watch a favorite movie or take a family member out to do something fun and life affirming.

Get to Know Your Neighbors     
Visit with someone you don't know. Build neighborhood camaraderie. Simply talking reduces anxieties. Surprise a neighbor with a meal. Invite a neighbor to your church or synagogue. Walk with a neighbor.

Laugh     
Laughter is an excellent way to release negative emotions. Laughter reduces anxiety, depression and fear. Anything that makes you laugh is priceless.

Start and End Each Day Positively   
 
Start with a prayer or a song. Light a candle. Remind yourself there is good in the world.

Don't Let Anger Rule Your Life     
Anger hurts everyone. Find ways to express frustrations that don't harm -- exercise, meditate, write your emotions in a journal, paint, sing, dance, play a musical instrument. If you are still angry, seek professional assistance.

Each Morning Think of Something Happy   
 
A smile first thing in the morning sets the tone for the day. A smile improves your immune system and ability to cope with stress.

Forgive    
Forgiveness strengthens our relationships and helps us heal and move forward.

Nurture Each Family Member     
Everyone needs to feel loved. Actions and words tell your family members that you love them above all else. Let your heart speak when you are at a loss for words.
