Abuse Issues
REMEMBER...

Verbal abuse... Emotional abuse... Mental abuse... leave no VISIBLE scars

An abuser is a boss, or supervisor, who implies that their personal wishes will determine job security within the business

An abuser is the babysitter that waits until parents leave before verbally belittling the children

An abuser is a partner, married, or not, who humiliates their partner in front of family and friends or in private

An abuser could be a parent who favors one child over the other

Abuse touches our lives every day, whether it's occurring in our house, the house next door, or the house across the city. Abuse is a silent, insidious destroyer of self-confidence. Abuse convinces the abused that they deserve the treatment they receive. Many people in abusive relationships believe they have done something to deserve being abused. Abuse may escalate to physical violence but non-physical abuse itself can be just as destructive and painful. Many forms of abuse are hidden.
An abuser needs to control their victim and will use whatever method necessary to gain that control

An abuser is a husband who forces his wife to have sex when she isn't in the mood

An abuser is a partner who says "If you love me, you'll do this for me" when you don't want to do the particular activity

An abuser is a partner who says "If you leave, I'll kill myself."

Abusers can be WELL-LIKED and HIGHLY RESPECTED individuals

Abuse destroys lives as  EFFECTIVELY and EFFICIENTLY as any physical disease

Being rich does not prevent abuse

A person's sex does not determine who is an abuser or who is abused
